Banana and Plantain Unit
Banana is one of the most important food crops globally, both economically and nutritionally. Generally grown in tropical and subtropical regions, it can be a significant staple in local diets in these countries.
Our banana production began in 1992, and plantain in 2020. Each of our plantations is ideally located not only for cultivation and production but also for supplying major global markets. Thanks to this and the team working in this unit, we are the largest independent banana producer in the world.

We have operations in Tiquisate and Gomera in Escuintla Department, starting operations in 1996 and 2001, respectively. This zone has 21 high-performance packers that meet international health and safety standards.
